If it passes in California, I am sure that it would move east.latimesnewslocalpo...ics-californiaHello.I'm a foster home for boxers and picked up another one last night -- one of his health issues really has me concerned. His backlegs seem like useless, dead weight. They are weak and stiff and appear to be swollen, edema? Walking, lying down, and getting up seems to be really uncomfortable for him and I think most of it is due to his back legs. He was a stray picked up by a shelter, then a boxer rescue took him and he was with a foster home for two weeks. The foster home was on the third floor of an apartment which the dog had lots of problems with, so I picked him up last night. Apparently he was given Lasix for a short time when he was first found and they think it helped? The prior foster home said he had been off Lasix for the past several days and the swelling seems to be getting worse again, so I'm guessing the Lasix was working? He's also on antibiotics (has been for a while now) but I have no idea if that's helping the legs or not - he's got a few more days of those left.He had a vet visit yesterday before I picked him up and his blood work came back "normal". Does anyone know what the swelling might be from and what I can do to help him?Thanks in advance.P.S.
